how do you hook up a manual boost controller?

how do you hook up a manual boost controller?
i have an apex manual boost contorller. it has a red and black wire to it. i'm guessing it's positive and negative, correct? and where does the boost/or vaccuum lines go to? and where do i tee off the boost gauge to?
