Default Speedometer doesn't work and the temperature gauge neither

I just test drove a 1992 acura integra that o may buy. I notice that the speedometer doesn't work neither the temperature gauge. So what could be wrong with the speedometer? For the temperature gauge it could be the sensor or what else it could it be ? Please any help guys.

Sorry for the question but what is it the cluster? I don't understand to many parts in English I know more in Spanish because I went to car mechanic school but in Spanish in Puerto Rico.

The vehicle speed sensor is not in the cluster it's around the wheel area in the passenger side(I'm pretty sure) the coolant temp sensor is located under the distributed on the head again not in the cluster. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong

It would be the sending unit not the temp sensor itself

I know which is the speed sensor it's on the back of the transmission where the speedometer cable goes in. I found out the problem with the temperature, it looks like the thermostat is stock open because if you let the car sit in idle the gauge will start coming up. I google what it was the cluster and I found out what it was. But thank you for all your help.

why would you want the temp to pass the middle line? it should be like 1/4. and jump the fan to see if its good.

I jump the fan and it does turn on when I jump it directly from the battey, I drove the car around to see if the fan will turn on but no lock. What it looks weird to me is that i left the car on for long time and the fan never came on and the temperature gauge will not go any higher than the middle line. What should I do? it could be air on the line or the relay? How can I test the Relay?
