That model obviously didn't have DOHC in the year. I think it was swapped or something. How much power would it have (also, any general info? cause I have no idea about the specific engine)

Model: '93 Del Sol Si. What's on the Autocheck : MPI I4 1.6L (D16Z6). What's on the dealer shop sign: 1.6L L4 DOHC 16V.

 

Try making complete sentences that are understandable. The info is out there if you google it the b16a was available in the del sol. It is called del sol vtec

 

It's also entirely possible that the guy who put the window sticker on the car is stupid. Easiest thing to do? Check the VIN yourself, pop the hood, and see what it has.

 

prob a d16.. if anything else it'd be a b16 from what they're describing.

B16a3 is what was in them if it is vtec trim. Look at the vin if not then most likely a d16z6. Take a of the engine bay and post up

 

Pretty sure that year didn't come w/ b series. Pop the hood and look.

they didn't put the b16 in it until 95

Bs 94 had vtec trim and the b16a3. Dont know about 93 tho.

 

Two engines offered in 93, D15B7 (S) and D16Z6 (Si). Both SOHC.
B16A3 appeared in 94 in the VTEC trim.

If it actually has dual cams you need to get the numbers off the block and head to determine what it really is.

 

easiest way--
Take a pic of engine- post in here- everyone will tell you

 

Engine stamp and VIN stamp. Should get both off the car to verify everything the dealer is saying. On the plus side, if the dealer is wrong with any of this, you could use it to get the price dropped.
