Default headlights fading?

I haven't seen it myself, but my friend was on the freeway with me in another car and said that one of my headlights is brighter than the other. I check the wires but didn't find anything out of place. I haven't looked at it myself with the headlights on at night, but I figure he's right.

Any idea what would make this happen?

Maybe you just need to align the headlights...check if they level and if they are try replacing the bulbs. Good Luck!!!

Yeah I talked to some of my friends, one said that headlights are aligned so that the headlight on the right side of the car is projecting slightly higher, so that at some angles one may appear brighter than the other. Is that right?

usually when one headlight is bright and one is dim...that means your alternator isn't very happy. i'd go to autozone and have it checked out for free

I don't know about the alternator being unhappy.. But since all headlight circuits are the same, my answer would have to be that you have excessive resistance in that headlight socket or wire.. Take the bulb out and see if the socket is dirty or corrodded..
