1997 CR-V Misfire -Need Help. Compression and Leakdown passed.
Got a problem with my 1997 CR-V (204k miles)
Here's the story:
Replaced plugs (with Bosch), distributor cap, rotor, then car would not start.
Troubleshoot. replace most of ignition system, starts and runs after replacing coil.
OBD starts throwing P0301, P0303, P1300 & P1399
Replace plug wires - still codes
Check valves (engine cold) - all in spec, middle of acceptable range) start engine, now idle is high, uneven - still codes
replace cap, rotor and wires with Honda oem parts - still codes
Do compression test - passed all cylinders just under 180psi (178 is spec)
Do leakdown test - passed.
Replace ENTIRE distributor (AutoZone) still codes)
Cleaned filter screen on IAC.
Note that by still codes, I mean that I reset the OBDII each time and they came back.
what else can I check that would cause a misfire? Every search I do comes back with burnt valves. However, valve adjustment was in spec, it passed the compression test, and leak down test. no other codes are coming up.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

Plugs are gapped correctly. Idle is high and I am still getting misfire codes for cylinders 1 & 3. All misfire codes have been for 1 & 3. Like I said, it passed compression test and leakdown test. Valve adjustment in spec. Plugs are from honda dealer. Misfire codes show up regardless of plugs installed ( new Bosch, new NGK, old NGK ). Plug wires are from honda (new). Distributor is new (Autozone). New fuel filter also.
I had the same problem .. Turned out to be my spark plugs I replaced with NGK plugs platinum and everything went smooth ... Hope this helps

if everything else checks out good...I would suggest checking your timing belt and your timing...make sure everything is correct.
could be poor fuel pressure to cylinder 1 and 3, meaning that perhaps your injectors are not operating properly. i'd replace them, and fuel filter while your at it, and test your pressure.
