HELP build bottom end will not turn over by hand
im building another ls vtec and heres the problem. i got a b18a1 block with b16 pr3 pistons on ls rods, with arp rod bolts, ive put neww rings and bearings in the motor but when i tighten the rod bolts 23 foot pounds the motor wont turn over its locked up tight when i back it off it turns over fine. whats up with this.

you could have the berrings in wrong but did you lube it all before you put it all together? you crank my be out of round,,,did you machine your block to specs? take it all arart and start over and go slow make sure every thing is lined up right if all this doesn't help post again and we well do some work!!
i know that the bearings r right and i did lube it. but i left the bottom end stock, i just took out the b18 pistons and install the b16 ones, i did hone the clinder walls
If you mixed up the rod caps and did not put them back onthe same rods it would do it,or you did not have the big end of the rod resized when you installed the ARP rod bolts.
