Default back at it again...98 ex leaking oil

My friend told me he was leaking oil on the top side of his engine so i checked it and it seemed as it if it was all coming from the valve cover so i changed the gasket as well as did an oil change. About a week later he said he was checking it on a day to day basis and it started leaking from what seems to be under the distributor. That whole general area just seems like it can be leaking from anywhere. I believe the oil pressure switch is there and the leak may also come from the seal in the distributor from what i can see and have also experienced alot of people buy those parts at the autozone i work at. Let me see if i can get some pics on here. Just wondering what you guys thought was more probable and what else i should be checking for. Should i take off the dist. cap and check for oil?

Distributor O-Ring is likely shot
Remove and replace (just make sure to mark your dizzy so you don't mess up the timing, and you're good to go!)
Easy

Remove the distributor cap, rotor, and inner cover. Any oil inside distributor? If not, the internal distributor oil seal is fine.

In this case, replace the distributor O-ring (as mentioned; use OEM O-ring) and also both VTEC solenoid gaskets, as the solenoid is clearly leaking oil.

So theres two rings on the dist? One internal and one external? And i am for sure getting them at the dealer after the bad experience i had with the aftermarket axle seal. As for the solenoids...they have gaskets as well? Or is it teflon tape on the threads?

You only need to replace the internal distributor oil seal if you find oil inside the distributor.

The VTEC solenoid has two rubber gaskets, one having a filter.
