Default 92Mmm or 95mm crank for B series ?

Looking for some advice on my next build , looking for a reliable stroker kit for my B series my goal is to make at least 250whp and 170tq. I already have the head built ready to go with skunk2 pro 2s, extensive head work, Skunk2 IM (port matched) skunk2 68MM TB ,AEM EPM with k series coils. This motor will be used to drive to local meets and to the track. I'm looking to sleeve my current block with DARTON 84mm mid sleeves and run 93 octane with 11.5:1 Compression pistons. Just debating on the 92 or 95 mm crank . Does anyone have any input or experience dealing with these set ups ? I appreciate any input or suggestions thanks !

95mm=more torque/power. Peak power sooner. Slightly less longevity. I did love the bottom end grunt with the 95mm crank.

Check w/Skunk on the compression - to be certain you're at least to the minimum for that cam. Be sure to adjust compression estimates for changes in deck height, shaved heads, or any chamber work done with porting.

Going to be nice..

No need to waste money on sleeving. Just find a B20 block. Also 250 whp can be done with an 89mm crank. No need for any bigger.

I would opt for a Victor X manifold instead and bigger throttle body.

Ok thanks for your input , how long did your set up last ? I definitely want the tourqe that the 95mm crank will produce .But I might just have to sacrifice the torque for the longevity of the motor with a 92mm set up .

Yeah I know it's going to cost me a pretty penny to get my block sleeved but I'm sure it will be worth it . Especially if I go with a 95mm stroke , since the skirt of the piston will be causing some stress on the cylinder wall . I actually found someone selling a complete b20 block with LS crank and rs 85mm ITR spec pistons . I am still debating on getting it, because its already at 85mm which is kind of pushing it on a b20 stock sleeves from what I heard. What do you think ?

I'm running a 95mm stroker reving to 9.5k and no problems so far.Car has 1 dyno section and about 25 passes, did a compression and leak down test last week everything came out good. so I will say go with the 95mm but look into a bigger manifold and throttle body

Nice , what pistons and cams are you running? Did you have to have custom pistons made to not have clearance issues. Are you on stock sleeves ?

I had a similar build with a 92mm crower crank and made 253whp and 170wtq. Car was a blast to drive daily .

I just picked up some Darton Mid sleeves for a good price. So I'm leaning more towards the 92mm BC crank . What rods do you all recommend ? I was looking on getting the BC H beam style rods to compliment the crank with CP pistons or Carrillo rods.

I have a 92 crank with a 5.394 carrillo pro-a rod using custom wisecos.
Knowing what I know now i should have went with the 95mm crank.
Dont get me wrong the 92 feels great but 95 would feel better and make more tq.
The car isnt daily driven but driven often.

id go 95 crank if I were you I still might end up making mine a 95 when I go to order higher compression pistons.

270whp 172wtq STOCK GSR STROKE 87mm
Bottom of the page.
http://www.team4piston.com/OutlawGSR.html
This set up might have compression higher than the 11.5:1 your looking for.
But on 93 octane 12:1 and even 12.5:1 is possible with the right tune and EMS.
They never list the bore, my guess would at least be 84mm maybe 85mm.

That is an 86mm bore. Check out our facebook page for more B builds...260-300+hp

Man thats what i dont want to feel if i go with the 92mm Crank lol, because im sure i will want the 95. From what i have heard those rods are awesome and expensive, but im sure they are worth every penny. Is there that much of a difference between 92-95 i know you have more displacement but is it worth the wear on the cylinder walls for a weekend warrior street car? I spoke to Jim Justice at justice racing Engines and he recommend for me to go with the 92mm he has experienced 95mm Honda cranks wearing excessive on the cylinder walls, but i guess that doesn't matter if your just using it for track purposes.
