Will 98 Accord single din cassette tape player fit in 91 Civic?
My buddy is going to replace his spare 98 accord single din cassette tape to an aftermarket head unit and I was wondering if the stock will fit my bro's 91 Civic. Don't want to ship it out and knowing there will be a fitment issue at the end. Is there anything that needs to be done or is just plug in play?
I wouldn't bother those years run on a different wiring diagram that is not plug and play friendly with remote volume control.
Anything can work. It would be just like wiring up a regular deck. Constant 12v, accessory power, ground, speaker wires. Finding the pinout is pretty easy too if you search google.
if your harness is uncut, then you buy the correct harness kit for your car, then you buy a "reverse" harness for whatever year the radio came from, wire them up..
I had a eg casset deck in my ed with stock harness. Plug and play, accord is a bit different, but as others say you can rewire the harness.

Thanks. I just shipped it out today to my bro and told him to try it out. If it doesn't plug and play, I told him to buy the reverse harness as mention from eBay and see if it work. Appreciate the help guys!
