Default Can anyone recommend me a good tuneup kit?

I don't really know what good brands for tuneup kits n what not. I just don't want to buy a tune up kit n turns out to be a bad one

Would like someone to recommend me a tuneup kit with or without the timing belt n whatever belts it usually comes with
I don't care if the belts come with or without, if not much difference I'd like one with so that later down the road I can have a shop replace my timing belt n water pump
My car's a 99 ex civic

did not know they have tuneup kits. But I would recommend all OEM parts from honda, if you feel like being cheap, get the autozone stuff. but Oem is best. the only place I see kits are on ebay.

To me a "tune up" meand wires, rotor, cap, plugs.

Usually done along with an oil change.

Then there is filter servicing

And major service, Timing belt, water pump all new accy belts.

All of these have different intervals

As for parts:
plugs- the proper NGK
Wires- Bosch Red Wires from Auto Zone
(rotor and cap as well)
FIlters -WIX
Fluids- HONDA (except oil-I use Mobil 1)
Timing Belt Kit - GATES

These are my choices. I maintain 4 Hondas ( Pilot CRVx2 and a Del Sol)

Amazon and Ebay sell them, but it is unknown if the parts are the right ones or of decent quality.

Piece it together like others have said.

My recommendations are...

NGK Plug and wires (OR Beck/Arnley Wires)
Beck/Arnley Dist. Cap, Rotor, PCV Valve
Wix Oil, air and fuel filter,
And Contitech Timing Belt Kit

This is if you don't want to go and buy OEM parts.

Don't forget to adjust your valves and replace you valve cover gasket/spark plug tube seals/grommets as well (Beck/ Arnley).

for tune up, i usually get the ngk/denso spark plugs, ngk wires, fuel and air filter (if needed) from monument car parts. then get the oem honda distributor cap, rotor and oil filter from local honda/acura dealership. then take a trip down to walmart to get you some mobil 1 oil.

preventative maintenance isn't "fixing". You maintain things so they don't break....

2nd that. If the parts work, don't fix them. Unless you want to "tune-up" your wallet and pay for what you don't need. Diagnose first, look at RonHT's links.

@qbove in my eyes
I feel it's better replacing things before they go out
Well at least when I just bought the car, I'd like to replace as much maintainance parts as I can
