92 hatch fog light switch - Buy OEM or password jdm?
Hi there!
I hope you guys can help other than other forums.
Just finished installing my foglights and it looks killer! The only problem I have is the switch, it looks good but the functionality is lousy.
The switch itself doesn't really fit into it's shaft and that way it stuck and makes the fog lights light up all the time lol
Ohh I forgot, the kit is from DEPO
I found an OEM one and a aftermarket one by password jdm as you can see here http://passwordjdm.com/product2.aspx?Product_ID=2318
Does the one in the link above come with the two block offs + mounting or should I better go with OEM (expensive)?
Thx in advance!

Are the ones on jdmland any good?

The ones on Jdmland/ICB Motorsports are OEM. I bought one from them a few years ago, expect exactly the same quality as similar OEM switches (rear defrost, cruise control, etc)
The OEM switch is far superior to what password JDM sells (which IIRC is just the same Depo switch you already have)

That is kind of odd. The few times I've bought from PW, they answered when I called with one exception. One time I left a voicemail, and they called me back a couple hours later.
Thanks for your answers. Of course I considered the time diff. but after 5 days I expect something, ahh well one less customer lol
I go for the OEM one, the thing is that the DEPO switch looks pretty good like a OEM one but that's pretty much it.
Will do a pic of it tomorrow, this time from the inside lol

Don't forget also that the EDM switch faces the opposite direction from the USDM/JDM switch (because you have the rear fog light + defrost switch in that spot). Maybe it's not a problem if you don't have a sunroof and can use that switch spot. But, I have seen EDM switches appear occasionally on ebay.de and maxrev.de .
I know, in the two spots on the right I have the defroster & rear fog light switches.
Good thing is I have lots of space where the sunroof switch would be, I don't have one so it shouldn't be a prob. Will do it like in this pic, simply upside down (actually the kit I bought)

I just bought an OEM switch, can't wait to put it in.
Now I just need the mounting which would hold three switches like in the pic, only in a different order. Where the dim light switch goes there must be a block off same on the left. My fog switch will be on the right side.
If someone reads this and has a spare one, contact me!
