Catalytic converter

If the catalytic converter is bad it could give me code 5 and 7

on a 92, the cat won't throw any codes. as there is no monitoring system in place.

So if I see black podle with water on the floor at the end of the muffler it could be because the catalytic converter is bad.

no. one of the by-products of the combustion process, as well as the catalyst, is water.
