Hello everyone, new guy here and a few questions
I picked up my first Honda ever. Well Honda car. Its a 2002 Accord I4, Auto. 90K. Paid $3500 just because it was so mint and owned by a 75 year old woman since new but.. here it comes.. Transmission issues!
When ice cold the car seems not so much slip in to 2nd from first but a long shift. This happens once a day.
When approaching a stop then going again she seems to drop in to first then hard shift up to second.
When coasting the RPM's at some point drop down some 500 ticks then back to normal.
The fluid looks bad, horrid
My real question is, Is this tranny a time bomb? Should i drain and fill and hope for the best?
What could on expect to spend if the tranny bights the dust?
Everything else about this car is MINT.. so ill have to find a way to deal with this. Car only on the road 3 days.

Sorry i forgot, yeah its an auto. Also looking under the hood i see 2 blue pain dots on what i think is the transmission solenoid on top of the tranny telling me that it was replaced.
Standard Honda transmission creed is flush and fill 3 times with Honda ATF with a short trip through each gear before next fill. In other words, drain, fill, drive, drain, fill, etc.
