b20/b16 ideas?
well ok i have a b20 with a b16 head.. it's completly stock.. i have a couple thousands to spend.. i was just wondering what kind of adds on i could put into the motor.. just let me know im kinda of new to this... n most of my buddysdont **** with hondas..
if you're going to go N/A, try going with 12:1-13:1 compression pistons, you can stick with stock rods if you upgrade the rod bolts using something like ARP rod bolts. Then I'd get different cams, intake manifold and a 65-70mm throttle body along with the basic I/H/E and a good tune. That should run you in the couple thousand range and possibly net you close to 200whp.
Otherwise you could just get a turbo kit or piece one together for around 1k-1.5k and make more power on your stock motor.

before you start spending all your money on unnecessary parts, first figure out what your power goals are realistically. If you're shooting for 200whp...you won't need new sleeves, rods, etc. Stock rods should hold up fine, you just need new rod bolts. The thing here is...what are your plans and goals. If you're going N/A...I wouldn't even worry about sleeves; Turbo/Nitrous...then yes
whats n/A?? and i wanna be pushing for 300 to 400 hp and ill be satistifed.. what things i have to change to get that much horsepower without braking anythang?
@ Shermanyang-- great advice.
To op--You will not achieve 400whp on that budget. 400hp will break that budget like a toothpick. 250- to 300 is possible on a very smart 2000 budget. You should really consider your budget 1500- 1600 hundred because a smart safe tune is the most important part of any build and that is 4-500 using a "free" ecu program like Chrome. Spend more time on here. Do more research and spend wisely until you have want you want.

see that sounds good 250 to 300 horsepower.. and for that budget i could handle.. but the thing is ok if u was in my position what would u do with a 2000 budget??
If I was in your position and I wasn't married...I'd just piece together a turbo kit. You can easily make 300whp with a turbo kit and have your motor last just as long as you're careful with it. Hell...I made 270whp with a stock LS motor before and the motor lasted me 3 years of daily driving, although I never did abuse it.
If you're looking for the most HP/TQ for your money...there's no other alternative than to go forced induction.
