Im going to buy this crx right around the corner from me for $900, it think i'm getting a really good deal. its 1990 crx dx that has a recent paint job that looks pretty good. The body is straight, meaning no dents and the only rust it has is in the rear quarter panels but its just a few bubbles, nothing crazy! but its an automatic and has hx wheels. but everything else is stock. it does have 216k miles on it but i test drove it and it seemed like it drove good i did not hear any clunking or weird noises. My plans are to drop a more powerful d series engine in and convert it to manual. Then i wanna work on the suspension and turn it into a auto x car. Any more ideas on what i should do or where to get parts from would be awesome! thank you for taking the time and reading this!
Oh by the way this will be my first crx. I have had an eg hatch, ek hatch, em1, eg coupe, and ef hatch. so i know Hondas pretty well but its been a good 2 years since i have owned one and worked on one so i feel pretty rusty.

if it were me id skip it on the sole fact its an automatic/dx model. i bet you could find a nice crx around somewhere for a little more and have no hassle. its a dx so you need a mpfi swap and then youd have to get different pedals. i found my 88hf for 1k but its up to you. if you dont mind the extra work and its the best you can find around you then get it. if there are others a little more expensive then drop the extra money less hassle

yeah i would hold onto to your crx. my friend has a rust free 89 ef hatch si that has a clean nice recent paint job and she wants $6k for hers haha. i told her it would be a waste of time trying to sell it at that price unless she puts it up on ebay. and the only thing done to her hatch is suspension and a few bolt ons nothing crazy.

i don't know how recent the paint job is. i'm only guessing cause the car was white. i'm also guessing its pretty recent cause it looks good. the kid who is selling doesn't know how old the paint job is. it could be 2 years old or could be 6 years old but deff not a 22 year old paint job. who ever got it painted got it in that factory green color which is cool. but once i take the stock motor out i gotta paint the engine bay cause the someone tried to paint it a flat gray color and now all the paint is chipping off really bad u can see the factory white paint under. i might get it professionally painted if i can get it towed to a local paint shop but my options are limited living here in park city utah. and i'm not gonna get it towed to slc it would be a waste. if worst comes to worst ill just spray paint it myself with some high temp paint.
