trying to remove door moldings
I want to take off my door moldings, but got an estimate for like a grand. I can't afford that so I want to do it myself. They said the reason it was going to be so much was that they needed to weld the holes shut. Can't I attain the same look by using some mesh and bondo. I know thats ghettto, but will it work?
thanks!
thanks!
Will work but won't be as strong. Not sure how big those holes are on the doors. If you are going to do this and what to get rid of your moldings, please let me know.
im getting my moldings taken off for way under a grand...i cant give you an exact quote...but im pretty positive it'll be less than 500 bucks...and they will be welding it shut too..no bondo needed...bondo is weak! by the way..what shop qouted you a G for just removing the door moldings? im in san diego also...
some gay *** spot on Black Mountain road, next to the spot I get my alignments, north city alignment. under 5 hunnies ain't bad, but does that include paint?
come on now, bondo isn't that bad.

my friend did that to his old 5th gen civic.. used only bondo and some other type of filler. After a short while, it started looking wavy across the doors and then after several years it finally cracked. If you plan on keeping your car for a bit, i think it's worth the money to have it welded
of course the wuote include paint....its a well known shop too in san diego that has built a positive rep over the last few years...PM me or email me if you want details
