Fuel Filter Questions-91 F22A4
1) How often should they be changed on a 91 Accord F22A4?
2) Is there a recommended or preferred brand? Why?
I did a search but couldn’t find these specific answers although I’m sure the questions have been asked before.
Thanks!

No recommended schedule from Honda for suggested interval replacement. I would suggest once every major tune up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor). thats when most of my customers replace theirs.
brand to use. OEM of course :D

Every major tune up to replace fuel filter sounds reasonable to me. I get the loyalty to original OEM parts but aren’t things like filters made by one of only two or three manufacturers and sold under licence to dealers? Can’t you get the same product at a parts store with a different name on it for less $$$? Not trying to be too much of a cheapskate here but dealer pricing scares me so I avoid when it makes sense to do so.

When it comes to fuel and oil filters i personally like (and recommend) wix. They can be purchased from oreilly, checkers.

OEM or aftermarket, your right about the different manufactures branding it as Honda, but I see it as Honda using what they think is the best for their vehicles. Honda's reputation was built on reliability.
Some aftermarket companies offer better quality products and people will buy what they are familiar with or had good experiences with.
