I know this isn't the ideal website to post about a Mitsubishi but I don't feel like joining a different forum page. I have a 02 Mitsubishi galant es with automatic transmission. The vehicle shifts at 2500 rpm about no matter if your WOT or easing into the gas. The transmission shifts threw the gears pretty quickly always around 2500. The vehicle also lacks acceleration and there is no difference in power if you put the pedal to the floor rather then easing into the gas. Any help would be great! Thanks

 

take it to a shop, it may be your Torque Converter

 

What makes you say its the torque converter possibly? It has good power on initial acceleration so my guess is the torque coverter is fine. I believe its the stator(?) that multiplys torque, and that seems to be working fine.
