Clutch Life (EG9 OWNERS ONLY!)
Could I have an idea of how long I should expect my clutch to last on my 1995 Honda Civic EX 1.6 L VTEC SOHC D16Z6? I am still relatively new to driving with a stickshift, although I'm pretty good at it (at least at not stalling it out or revving it up to 4 grand to launch lol). I bought the car a week ago and the guy said the clutch is somewhat new (around 10k miles). Is there anyone out there who has experience with these amazing cars and who can tell me how long, in miles, as well as months/years, I should expect my clutch to last? Please no "it depends on how you drive" just tell me what YOU get, and how YOU drive. Thanks all!
If you baby it ive seen oem clutches last 200,000 miles
If you rough it up frequently (like 6k launches an ****) dont expect it too last for more than 2-3 years

honestly it really does depend on how you drive. You can take a brand new clutch and literally destroy it in under half an hour if you work at it. If you drive right you can get well over 200,000 miles out of a clutch for that car. I've seen over 300,000 miles out of clutches for that car. When you aren't taking off or shifting don't rest your foot on the clutch pedal, don't ride the clutch any longer than you need to taking off either.
