Icon3 Broke off piece of block

Hey guys, I have a D16a6, all stock. I was removing the coolant drain bolt on the block and it was siezed on so tight that it snapped off a piece of block on removal. Anyone have a suggestion to fix this? I would prefer to find another d16a6 block, and maybe the head also. If anyone has suggestions or have another block I would greatly appreciate it. This is my daily driver and I need it back on the road asap. I could really use the help. Thanks.

Never mind - you wrote drain bolt and I read bleed bolt.

You probably just need to replace the water outlet cover and its gasket.

I would just weld the whole thing together rather than replace the block.

I know I can weld it in, but it was due for a full rebuild. That's why I want a good one with no damage. It also cross threaded really bad. Please tell me that someone on here has a d16a6 they would sale.

not trying to be a dick but i would post in the WTB/WTS thread at the top. alot of threads get shut down for wanting to try to buy and sell stuff in it especially since the last post doesnt really have tech in it. honestly i would pull it out and do the rebuild and weld it. then you can be confident that the engine is in good working order and it will be basically brand new, even have some new metal for part of the block

EDIT : i see that you did put you wanted to but a block in the WTB sticky ha my b

also if you have the money to get a new engine try to buy a wrecked car or a car that has 1/4 or rocker rust thats real bad. then you have a great parts car to take stuff from since you know the parts are getting harder and harder to find. and its nice to be able to snag the little things you never see on craigslist

Thanks guys. Sorry, I didn't realize what I was typing about needing a block lol. Should have been I'm the for sale section. I will be be buying a doner car when I can. So far I have a new thermostat, temp sensor, head gasket, intake gasket, coolant drain bolt for my replacement block, ground wire, rebuilt head, and a few other things I can't think of. This is gonna be one smooth D16 lol
