Icon2 need help with swap? share yur opinions

so i got a 1990 civic si hatch back (ef9) it has a d15 with over 215xxx miles.... i want to do a swap but dont know what swap to do.. i know that i want to put a y21 LSD tranny but i need help on the enigine. i dont know if to put an b18c1 (GSR) block with a B16 Head? or to put a B16 block with a 18c1 (GSR) head? which is better?
Would a complete b18c1 or b16 swap just be better?
i want speed! and i want b-series!
Please help with advise
it will be my first engine swap...

A d15 is not what comes in an si so find out if you actually have an si. You be better off just swaping in a whole engine (b16 head and block or b18 head and block) as it being your first engine swap

What are the first 6 letters/numbers in the VIN? I doubt there's an "EF9" in there.

Get ahold of a LS, put it in, and call it a day.

You clearly don't know what you want.

So read up.

or just put in an LS3 in there and stop being a girl scout.

Welcome to the board. We appreciate you being here. Ultimately this is your decision and will require your research on what you plan to do with the car. Opinions on swaps are like buttholes everyone has one.

I would suggest doing all the main't your vehicle needs first such as ball joints, tie rods, bushings, etc then move into a swap.
