Default Megaphone vs Cutout

I have a EG2 Honda del Sol that I use for Solo Racing. I am considering installing a Burns Stainless Megaphone to my RMF style header. I have been asking around locally but nobody is using or has any experience with that kind of setup for Solo racing, they usually use them for Drag racing.

According to Burns I should install the megaphone as close to the header collector as possible to obtain any benefits.

The question would be is there would be any benefits to doing that or If I should just run an open exhaust via a cutout.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Mods:

10.5:1 compression
Skunk tuner stg 2 cams
Springs/Retainers
OEM type R intake manifold with 68mm throttle
RMF style Header
custom mandrel bent 2.5 exhaust with magnaflow muffler

Why not run a cutout after the megaphone? Anything after the collector and megaphone is a restriction to exhaust velocity anyway.

When you say RMF style.... what type of collector is on it, is it a true merge collector or just 4 pipes cut and welded into each other? A true merge collector in conjunction with a megaphone would be much better than just running an open header. Anything that you can use to increase the velocity of hte exhaust bases is a bonus. A cutout doesn't increase velocity.

It has a merge collector into a 2.5" pipe, then it is conected to a 2.5 custom exhaust. I was thinking about getting the megaphone and welding it into the collector.

Would I see any gains if I connect the megaphone into the exhaust? Orr should I leave it open after the megaphone?

Option 1

Option 2

One is putting the megaphone directly at the exit of the collector, the other is with 8-9 inches of straigth pipe and the the megaphone.
