I have a 97 Civic HB with power locks. When I did the conversion the passenger side began to act up. It was very hard to open using the key from the outside. Since I don't use the passenger side often enough, I didn't mind. Now 2 years after the conversion, the driver's side is doing the same thing. The door locks and unlocks fine from the inside using the lock button or manually. The problem is whenn I use the key to open the door, it feels very hard to turn the key. What part do I need to replace?

 

Spray some WD40 into the key hole of the lock cylinder and then repeatedly turn the lock back and forth with the key. This should fix the problem.
