takes a few mins for fuel.pump to turn on.
So when I go to start my car it takes 1 to 5 mins for main relay to click and fuel pump to kick in and the check engine like to turn off. Only thing I can think is bad ground to ecm or.ecm is going bad what you guys say?
MM&Y of car always helps.
My guess is PGM-FI Main Relay.
I would redo, [don't just eyeball] the thermostat ground(s) to eliminate them as the problem, if not...
Access the PGM-FI Main Relay, you just have to put your hand, or even fingers on it, while touching it, turn on the ign. to the run position, is there one click and no fuel pump prime and if you wait there is a second click and the pump primes and CEL goes out?
Or is there no click at all, unless you wait?
Does tapping, [hard] on the PGM-FI Main Relay do anything?
If you get the first chick right away, it means problem is after ign. input to PGM-FI Main relay, the fuel injector relay turning on is the first click, [so "main relay" ground is good].
If tapping the relay, changes anything, means the problem is in the PGM-FI Main Relay, [fuel pump relay circuit] cold solder connections are a common problem...

If nothing happens when tapping the relay, it does not eliminate the PGM-FI Main Relay,
At this point you will need to drop the PGM-FI Main Relay so it can be unplugged, you will need a 12V test light, [NOT the LED type] under $2 everywhere.
Without MM&Y all I can tell you is to test for the three (3) powers at the relays plug.
A 12V+ constant, [hot at all times].
A 12V+ switched, [hot in run and start].
A second switched 12V+, [hot in start only].
If all are good, you will need to supply a direct ground to the ECU/ECMs fuel pump relay control lead/terminal at the PGM-FI Main Relay, [need MM&Y] if fuel pump primes right away, the problem is ECU/ECM related, but not necessary the ECU/ECM itself, [check IGP1 and IGP2 for voltage when ign. is in run position]. 94

So it dose nothing no clicks tried beating it still nothing takes a few mins I'll try to get my buddys mm an see it I'll try out placing the ground else where I also noticed that the wire for the engine light kto check the cel is extend think that may be a problem?
Again, MM&Y of car, or is it a secret?
If there is no click at all, that means the fuel injector relay is not turning on.
Check the black lead at the PGM-FI Main Relay plug for continuity to chassis ground.
Did you redo the thermostat ground(s)?
I not, do so.
If the grounds are good, [redone] check for power on the black/yellow at relay plug it is switched ign. input, it is what turns on the fuel injector relay.
As long as the relays ground, [fuel injector relays coil ground] a is good and there is power [when ign. switch is on] on the black/yellow, [other side of fuel injector relays coil] and no matter what else, [extended wires] the relay should turn on, [click]
If not, I would look at a possible problem with the ign. switch, the fuse for the black/yellow, [defective] or the wiring between the ign. switch and the PGM-FI Main Relay. 94

Sorry its a 94 civic hatch has a z6 in it. I'm going to pick up a wire brush on the way home
An redo the grounds I do know that the running lights are wired into thes ign switch.

So I didn't get a brush but I unbent the ground at the thermostat an it works fine now except the first start of the day. So going to use my sandig bit an try that see it it improves or not
