Ok I have a 94 integra ls and all of a sudden when i am ideling the idle bounces around all over the place and my car dies on me. First it was when i Was backing up and then my check engine light came on. When I started it back up it had trouble. 2 days later (today) it is still doing the same thing and is stalling on me. Does anyone know whats wrong and how i can fix it. Thanks

 

if you have a check engine light on. Then check the codes.

 

Check for Vacuum Leaks.
Maybe insufficient fuel reaching the injectors.
How many miles do you have and have you service the engine when required.

 

I have 66k miles on my car. How do you check for vacum leaks. Also My check engine light was on for about 20 min then went off. All this happened after I put on my new wheels/tires I have no clue how that copuld effect anything all i did was notice a tapping noise when i brake with the new wheels there is no way that could be related to this correct?

When was the last time (If ever) was the fuel filter replaced?

 

 

my light is no longer on. I bought the car with 59k miles on it i dunno if the previous owner changed it

 

change fuel filter and all fluids because you don't know how well the last owner maintained it.

 

IAC is probably clogged with some gunk. If your idle is bouncing all over the place it could also be your antifreeze has some air pockets in it.
