Default 2006 Honda civic radio/stock amp question

Hi,
I've searched and searched for an answer but can't seem to find a valid, straight answer.

My GF has a 2006 Honda civic LX (i believe) and her stock CD player wasn't working so we bought a premium one off of ebay for a really good price. I just put it in and you have to crank the volume to max and can still barely hear anything. I realize that the Si radio uses a stock amplifier and i assume that her car doesn't have one, I have yet to look for one under the seat or under the center counsel.

My question is will the car have the wiring harness already installed that all i have to do is get an amp and plug it in and everything should work accordingly?

Thanks

Either the cd player you bought is defective, or you installed it wrong.

Does anybody know if her lx will have the wiring already in the car so I can just get the better amp and install it and be good to go? Or does it not come prewired?

The radio you bought was a premium one, I believe she had a regular one (non-premium). If you look below, the wiring is a little different. The connectors she has in her car goes directly to the speakers...

If you want you'll need to rewire her speakers to a 4 channel amp, or purchase an aftermarket headunit and install that...
