H22A sohc?
Has anyone heard of a H22A SOHC?? i was lookin at a car down here (again, in venezuela) and this car had a H22A block but it has a SOHC head, i was wondering, is this the same H22A found in japan? (it doesn't has a # next to the H22A and is quite fast for a automatic) the car is around 90-93, not sure about the year. Because if this is the H22A i guess i can get the DOHC V-TEC head on it, am i right?
i'm not sure about converting a car into vtec, i did try to search but i didn't knew how to write the question. any info would be apreciated, thanks again guys

the car is from an old guy who bought since new, it hasn't been modified in any way, and yes is a H22A SOHC, i repeat this is in venezuela
is 4 gen accord, didn't check what model, but i will
and yes is a H22A sohc, again, honda used to have a factory in Venezuela, till they left the country like 2 years ago, so my guess would be that it was made here, but i don't know, i'm going to find out. i'll let you guys know

my friend who drove it told me that it was the fastest automatic accord he's ever driven, and he drives a lot of them, he is a mechanic that goes to people's houses to fix the cars, so he knows, i'll meet with this car to take some pics, cuz if it is a H22A maybe i can do a swap a lot cheaper
some dealerships will install turbos so it's under warranty still but dang i've never heard of a 4ws accord! i've only seen 2 4ws preludes ever and diesel accords. where are you guys seeing these things?

Maybe not built for the US or Japanese markets but I have seen some pretty bizarre stuff over the years that was built and marketed for the South American, Middle Eastern and African markets. The 4 door, very short bed 4WD trucks that are so popular here now ? They had 'em in the Middle East 20+ years ago. Toyota Land Cruiser pick up trucks, not an LC with an open back end, a true pick up truck. Engine combos we never heard of. We have a member over at Chevy Talk from Argentina and you see some of the odd stuff he has sent pics of and asked about. We couldn't help him because as far as we knew Chevy never made anything like it. Well they did. Sometimes other markets are used for test markets and it's determined that a particular item cannot meet US requirements or wouldn't sell well enough here so we never see or hear of it. Sometimes that's OK but sometimes we miss out on some really cool stuff
.It would be great to get some more info on that H22A SOHC Accord, as soon as you can get pics that would be great. Not because I don't believe you but I am curious............... I like weird off the wall stuff like that.

We have too the SEAT brand, which uses the same platforms as Volkswagen and they are made on Spain (is kinda nice the SEAT LEON, is a 20 valves, turbocharged 6 speed FWD car). We have some other things, but right now i can't remember everything.
