I have a 91 Civic LX 4 Dr / MT
My exhaust has gone to **** and looking into replacing it. Someone told me that the exhaust from a Chev. Cobalt would direct bolt and give me a 2.25 or 2.5" exhaust. Is this true? If so, what year would i be looking at? If it isnt possible, I will get quotes to have stock exhaust replaced or go to junk yard and get a decent stock exhaust to get me by till i have time to upgrade. I searched the net and other forums and didnt see much on this so I thought I come here and ask!

i think that sounds like a great idea. I would find that somebody who told you that and get them to help you put one on.

 

Sounded as if it was a great idea to me too... Cause last exhaust i did on my 89 was 2.5" and we had to build. ordered pipe off jegs and made a custom duel exhaust. it was a pain in the ***. I dont remember if they told me it was direct bolt on or that it had same bends so would only take little modification to install... If only things could be that simple!

 

Go to the junkyard and get a stock exhaust. Then at least you KNOW it will fit.

 

or you can just order a $110 one from ebay that is stainless, mandrel bent and 2 3/8"
