Default 91 accord f22a1

Took head off to do head gasket an timing belt .. Put all new gaskets in head as well as valve seals... Put valve springs an keepers back in... Assemble whole head including intake... Try turnin cam with 12mm, very hard to turn an when it turns it moves bout a half inch then jumps a good inch if not two... This head is OFF the block. Normal? Thought or ideas ill try anything.. Ripping the hair outta my head!

Turning a SOHC especially with 16 valves is not going to be as smooth as a DOHC. Your moving twice as many valve springs. What do you mean by "jumps off a good inch or two"?
