Default 1997 prelude need some insight!

what's up guys, I bought a red 1997 prelude auto today for 1500. has 152xxx miles on it and it's in descent condition. the body is straight, has rust where the spoiler was removed. missing head rests but that's about it. A/c blows cold, sunroof works, has flat screen CD player.
My only concern is it does have some white smoke at hi rpms, lmk what I should do..
and it has konigs with ten point lugs and I don't have the key , I need to get the one of the wheels of to repair the tire.and the konigs are ugly.
also driver door will not open from inside only.works fine from outside.
vin has J so I believe it was made in Japan.

I am repairing the body and repainting it,

any help or opinions will be appreciated ill post some more pics soon

Fuel-black smoke, oil-blue smoke, coolant/water-white smoke. Hope that helps

it's burning oil,
I was gonna run some sea foam and valve conditioner through it.
any recommendations?

also transmission shifts funny sometimes, not all the time.
every ones and a while it will jump a little when shifting and it shift alittle harder than it should, besides that it runs and drives fine.

Whats wrong with SeaFoam? I use it in the crankcase, vacuum lines, and gas tank...

Please tell me you wrote that on a phone with the smallest screen in the world and decided you didn't have enough time to proof read it... Do teachers do anything these days?

OP, at 150k I would expect it to burn oil. It's a higher mileage H22, nature of the beast. Seafoam probably won't do anything but waste your money. Use that money and take the car to a tire shop, or an actual mechanic. They'll probably just hammer a socket onto the lugnuts to get them off, or they have a kit for it. Might cost less if you buy the kit yourself.

^No i wrote that on your mothers ***, and i couldnt care less about the spelling. Jesus, i think you must be some sort of wannabe teacher hey junior.......?

As of the car, a mechnic will tell you that your trans is slipping and will eventually fail. I would be more concerend with this that either oil burning or coolant burning.

The door could be something as simple as the rod inside the door, not being connected to the interior door handle. You should take the door panel off and take a look at it.

also on the trans, check the fluid and see if its low. If not you are going to want to bring it to a shop. The trans could be on its way out.

ok i had a certified honda mechanic look at it, says its got bad ring(s).
im taking it to a shop today
pcv valve is good.
.
Transmission fluid is good, looks clean,im still gonna change it but the tranny may be on its way to the grave. Like i said its barely noticable and it just sometimes slips.

Spark plugs are arcing, got new ones, interior is stripped and cleaned out, removed any rust with vinegar water. Car is in great shape over all. Ordered ten point lug key, going to pick up some 08 si rims. New tails, wet sanding/polishig head lamps, ordered new bezel, new mats, got a door latch still gotta open the panel up and see whats up. Painting vc, dont know what color yet. Ceramic coating exhaust manifold. It will be great once its freshly painted.

Hoping i can get the smoking taken care of,i dont smoke so i dont think the car should. Maybe the tranny will be ok for a while..i just love honda

Ive put 1764 in so far, Im hoping to only put 2300 -2600 into it and sell it from 4-5.
thats why i need the mechanical problems taken care of.
Thanks for the input!

How much do you guys think a perfect condition rolling prelude chassis is worth?
lol it runs and drives without a problem right now.

turns out honda mechanic didnt know what he was talking about when he said the rings were leaking. Took it to my friends shop to have a closer look and it seems to be a seal leak or head gasket.
changed the oil with 20w 50 and oil burning is down to a minimum.
Drove it about thirty mins yeserday after cleaning air intake control valve ,intake, and egr valve, she runs like a shamp. I did not noticed any major transmission problems but somethings not right..the Tranny juice just arrived and i have enough for three changes,i am considering removing the shift and lock soleniods to check and clean as i have read this to be of good help along with changing fluid.
I do not plan on doing any engine work due to money,as long as its running and driving properly luxury and elegance will be the focus.
Hopefully the SI rims will be on in the next week or so(after re-surfacing),along with beginning body work(scratch n scuff)
