The crankshaft on my integra got screwed up and i want to swap the engine. I want to put a VTECH in it but I don't know if its smog legal in California. I also need to know where i can get a new VTECH.

 

You can buy a new VTEC motor from Honda directly but I don't know about your smog laws I live in Florida.

Yes you can get a USDM 1996 and up GSR or Type R swap and it will be legal as long as all the mods are stock or carb legal. Look up rywire.com for a vtec harness for a easy hookup for the engine harness to your car. Look up HMmotors.com for a vtec swap.

 

Is this a serious post. Vtec(no HHHHHH) is not a tangible entity in itself. It is a way to make more power at higher rpms. Variable valve timing with electronic lift control. Intake and exhaust valves stay open for a longer amount of time allowing more air in and out. Thus, one can not "get a VTECH" however you can get a vtec head and/or a vtec motor. I know you are new and probably 16-18 so you have a ton to learn. Do yourself a favor and spend 20 minutes searching you will be amazed at what you find.
