wont rev over 3500
Ok' I have a 92 accord lx 100% stock check engine light is on can't find anybody wit a obd1 reader. Car won't rev over 3500 rmp . I can turn the car off and start it again check engine light goes off and car will rev over 3500. As I drive the car check engine light will come back on and won't rev over 3500 rmp again. The car is also a standard 5-speed . It does this at anytime . If its cold or hot drivin or sittin steal
Please retrieve the codes for the check engine light and let us know what they are, that will help us to help you further diagnose this issue. I did a google search for "How to find check engine light codes on a 92 accord" and this was the first thing to come up. Try using search, not only on this site, but google (the whole world).

Not the best idea to keep running the car when they're obviously an issue with it. You will want to jump the MES connector behind the glove box to flash the codes. There are a ton of tutorials online on how to do this.

ok noone in my area has a obd1 reader . Today car ran fine drivin a hour to work but on way home the problem came back after drivin for abt 30 mins . I will try to get it to flash the code but if tht don't work any other ideas ??????? But on a down shift it will go over 3500 rmp just won't rev up pass 35.
Possibly the TPS sensor, but don't know anything without codes.
Step 1. Open the passenger door.
Step 2. Follow the carpet up to just under the dashboard
Step 3. Just pull the carpet down and you should see a blue connector with 2 wires on it, sometimes its plugged into something but not usually.
Step 4. Turn the key to where the check engine light comes on
Step 5. Get a paper clip or small wire, insert it into the blue connector. Stick one side of the wire in one hole and one in the other.
Step 6. Turn the key to the next click but don't start the car. If done correctly, the check engine light should blink..(it may be key off , hook wire, than turn key to either of the 2 clicks before starting the car)
Step 7. Read the codes
