Default civic CAI quick question.

so I'm able to pick up an actual aem cold air intake that goes into the hole at the fender. It's off a 2000 civic with a b18 in it. I have a 95 civ with a b18 in it. I'm just simply wondering ( I haven't had pics yet or compared ) would it fit in my bay n go in the hole, and fit, work, etc properly...? Thank you!

It should... make sure its smog legal for you to run in your state.
Most of those are for racing applications only.

No problems here in VA. Lights work, glass isn't broken, seat belts work, exhaust isn't fucked up, you pass.

Emissions are the fun part if you live near DC.

Word. NY is the same. Least, outside of NYC. No CEL, no broken glass, brakes stop the car, and tires aren't bald, you'll get a sticker.

In Florida, Any piece of crap that can roll under it own power can be on the road..

Ive seen bumpers drag, 2 hoods fly off on I-95, and countless lights not working.

Yeah, one of the many reasons I turned down a job up in NOVA.

GA is the worst I've seen so far, though. Visiting my brother down in ATL, we saw a pickup that looked like it had been driven into a wall. Dude used some metal braces and a 2x4 to create a new bumper, and bolted some exterior light fixtures to it. Couple of home projector bulbs in them. Illuminated like nobody's business, but good luck if you're in his oncoming.

Omg don't even get me started on Cali , The cops are so ridiculously stupid it is unbearable. My cousin got pulled over in a GSR and the cop was saying it was fully illegal and it was a Type-r engine. So we showed him the blocked reading and he said yup Type-R, we have to pull up articles on Engines to show him it wasn't then he said the car was too low(4 1/2 inches above the lowest you can go -_-). To top it off he said we were goings 45 in a 25 mpg zone when we were doing 15 just getting out of his driveway lmfao. They truly are ridiculous in cali.

I'm dead serious too lol. And if i wasn't in the car my cousin would have just let the cop abuse his power and ticket him. He wanted to ticket him for like 6-7 different things. Speeding, reckless driving, Car being to low, illegal engine and have the car towed, Exceeding the speed limit, Resisting arrest(We literally pulled over the SECOND we seen lights), and a few others. Cops in California are so bad it's unbearable.

I bet the car was too low, and at least one thing illegal under the hood,
Bottom line is that cop hated your buddy for some reason, tell him to fix that.

Been hot-rodding hondas out in so-cal since 98, and the only time it was bad was when the car was too low, rice exhaust, ect.

Having a smog shop doesnt hurt either

The cops payed no attention after I aged, and our cars became less riced. If anything they come to appriciate todays evolved honda enthusiasts who have learned from the past, all this expensive junk on my car doesnt make it any faster.

Car was almost 5 inches above the law.. It was almost damn stock height. Car is dead stock besides the engine which he had all paperwork for from HMO. He had help from a rep'd shop to put it in. When the cop came up, he said nothing besides answering his questions. He was actually really nervous. i didn't say anything until the cop started measuring the height and he was measuring from the TOP OF THE LIP and not the middle of the headlight. So i explained to him that it was from the middle of the headlight, then he caught a mean *** attitude with me, which was WAY uncalled for, then began to lie about the speed so i asked for the speed saved on his gun and he began to lie more and said it was erased. EVERY speed gun a cop carries laser designated or not holds the speed for a MINIMUM of 45 minutes.Like i said i am not a dick to cops whatsoever until they lie and try to abuse there power over the make and model of a car. I have been in multiple 240sx's SLAMMED so low to the ground that there oil pan breaks and WAY illegal engine wise and NEVER get messed with. **** i've been pulled over in DEAD stock si's with only a swapped shift **** and nothing else.

Cali cops are TERRIBLE.

It has nothing to do with being older, Most of the Honda's i've been pulled over with were with older people 30+. Cops in my town generally HATE Honda's because of the dumbfucks around here that hod rod them and put pointless mods on them.

Get what? Act like a good little bitch and let a cop bend me over for doing nothing wrong? Come out to cali FOR ONE WEEK and even rev your engine past 3k and see if a cop pulls you over and tickets you for 12 different things. Disturbing the peace, reckless driving, street racing, some how will say you are threatening new and attempting to race a cop. 2/3rds of these cops don't know a damn thing about the law and people let them screw them over anyways. Educate yourself before you let a job charge you with things you never did wrong.
