Head Gasket or valve cover
I have a b20z short story quick there's a oil leak not sure what it is can't post pic cause on cell phone, but it's near the Altenator bracket like there's a ridge right where the head and block meets.... Driving me crazy I don't know if it's bad valve cover gasket or the head Gasket... I found couple threads but it's all with like ARP head studs and it's a b20vtec so just wondering, some say it's really rare for the H/G to leak oil maybe it's traveling down idk happens when I am at high rpm
So clean the area real good, use a degreaser so area is completely clean, start engine, keep an eye on the area as you rev the engine leak location should become evadent. 94

Go buy some oil leak dye and use a uv light and watch for it.. be sure its clean and always clean not only that area but from valve cover too. remember oil will always flow down
Oil will go sideways for a mile but never up. Clean thoroughly and then look for the highest spot that's wet. It could honestly just be spills from refilling the oil.
Sometimes its tricky, if you still have the oem covers behind and over the cam gears then you might need to remove the cam gears and timing belt. Just lock the cams in place with a pin on top of the cam plates and remove the timing belt and gears and if it is the cam seals remove them and instal new ones correctly. If you dont have the cover behind the cam gears just remove the front cover and look behind the cam gears for the leak.you must remove the valve cover and remove the two bolts on the cam cover to expose the cam gears.
like the oil they sell at autozone and other spots like "lucas stop leak" ....but i thiink if i do that i should just do everything new H/G T-belt and all those seals
