Will OEM axel back muffler fit onto aftermarket catback exhaust system?
Ok ladies and gentlemen, I've been out of the Honda game for quite some time now and tried my hands at a number of other brands, makes and models ( ford bronco, MKIII supra ) and I always come back to the tried and true "H".
In the near future I will be picking up my new project/DD ( 1999 GS-R SSBP ) and I was hoping you guys could help me with a problem. It has a Tanabe catback exhaust on it. I'm more of the OEM guy with subtle jdm accents. So my question is, will an OEM type r axel back muffler or a spoon n1 axel back bolt right up to the current stainless piping? Any help is much appreciated. And I look forward to seeing/talking to you guys in the near future.

In theory yes it should, assuming the flange between the B-pipe and axle back is mounted at the same angle as the OEM system. I believe the stock system utilizes a Spring bolt while most of the aftermarket use standard bolt/nuts.
Awesome. Well we shall see, I appreciate the help Ryan. And if anyone has any first hand experience, please share. Again, thank you.
it should fit because i am pretty sure most of the muffler are the same size unless u got the system with the pipe go under the lower control arm. If that is a case no it's not going to fit
