Default Hi! I'm new...looking for advice on engine swap into 91 civic DX

Hey all,

Figured I'd say hello. I have recently acquired a 1991 civic DX FOR FREE. It runs great, but I'm going to do an engine swap he fully late this year. I am in research mode right now.

I used to be big into cars, had an SRT-4, GTI VR6, modded '03 CIVIC SI, and other cars before that.

I have since gotten married and had kids, so haven't had much time to do anything, plus doing an apprenticeship leaves limited funding for fun.

Anyway, excited to get this project underway, any suggestions on a direction would be great!

Jeff

I think a b series with LSD tranny would be the best bang for your buck and time. If your in no hurry you can piece it together of here fairly cheap.

dpfi - mpfi conversion will need to be done as well, full bolt on sohc zc would be great if you're on a tight budget. No need to get swap mounts and linkage for that one. But of course a B swap would be ideal if you want to spend a little more money.

This^ you can find a wrecked 90 to 93 integra for cheap, then you just need mounts
and some wirering and you got a pretty quick sleeper.

Jeff,

Welcome to the board. These 88-91 Civics are fun. There is really not one good swap, they are all good. Please check out the FAQ.
