shopping list for b16
i have a crx that i can put 2500 in the car that is bone stock, i getting motor , tranny , ecu, ha sport mounts and etc. for 1800 shipped to my work. do you think i could have the car running for about 2000. what all would i need to replace while i had the motor out. head gasket, timing belt , plugs , what other little stuff would i need?
if the car is a dx then youll have to do the wiring yourself unless you can find a good deal on it. yea you can get it running but you should keep some of your money for a while to make sure nothing breaks. I am on my 2nd swap car and both times I lost my tranny within 1 month..
I just put my B16A in my 90 crx si about three weeks ago one thing you need to check is your clutch that was the mistake i made also did you buy the shift linkage and wireing harness from hasport you will need 99 civic si shift linkage gromitt and axles from 89 integra i had to make the short side out of the 89 inner and outer from my crx are you going to do it your self because i did and it was worth the knowledge that i gained and the money you save you can buy performance parts good luck let us know how it goes
when u put the motor in you will should def do water pump, timing belt, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. i believe u will also need 90-93 teg throttle cable, and upper and lower radiator hoses. Wheni did my swap . i tried to get by with bare minimum and then i had to replace stuff for the next few weeks, Its always more expensive than u think....Good luck with the swap. Go to hasport.com they have complete list of what u need. Remember to ground everything. I found out by not being able to start car for 1 week...
