bought them off ebay, fit was bleh, 3 out of 4 I had to dremel the holes a little and grind down the plastic guides a little, yea i know ebay stuff sucks but couldnt justify spending more than 100 bucks for oem ones and craigslist had them but all ive seen were cracked, for 60 bucks they r not bad, they make the back much cleaner here are before and after pics

Honestly don't get why some go from the cleaner looking 99-00 to the 96-98 model tail lights with the amber lens.. I wouldn't even fathom it but that's just me

 

Fitment on the trunk of the left lens looks a little off.

 

yea i know, still messing around with fit, im thinking about taking the old weather seals from the stock and switching it with the new ones since the new ones are pretty thick, they are the eagle eye brand so fitment will always be off, but i like a challenge and will dremel them until it fits

 

with all that effort i wouldve justt boughten oem. time and effort wasted

 

for me my time and effort wasn't wasted, It aint all about oem, yea its nice and drops right in, but im a hands on person and i like to custom fab things to get them to work right, teaches me skills that will help me in the long run, oem for me is the easy way out and i dont like easy, but to each there own.

Sick of hearing "why don't you just buy oem?" well maybe because I Cant justify spending twice as much as i did or more for the same look and pay so much money to get it to look stock, do people have any tuner spirit anymore?

I went from 99-00 tails back to 96-98.

 

obviously you do care what people think otherwise you wouldnt keep making these stupid threads showing off the crap you just put on your car.

quality is quality. doesnt matter if it's something critically important like engine internals or tail lights. you're like the rest of the scene kids that does it to be like everyone else, all the while claiming to try and be unique.

 

Might be a small difference if you BACK to 96-98's... Just sayin

 

Theyre going to fade, then turn pink within time. I hate non-OEM tail lights, they suck.
