94 accord lx shifting problem..Help
sup guys..We need some quick help..ok so my boy has a 94 accord, he needed a motor and brought a wrecked accord exactly like his with running motor an all..just had bent rad support..we drove it and all so we knew everything was there and working...so we swapped it in his car a few days later...Our problem is, it wont shift into 1st,3rd or 5th gear...we know that they are there because lastnight when we took it around the block it went into 1st but wouldnt go into 3rd or 5th, but when he downshifted from 4th it went into 3rd...wierd ...We really think the shifter cables need adjusting, tonight he told me our other buddy for some reason put the car in reverse the other night and hooked the shifter cable up...why idk, i wasnt around when they did that. If you ask me thats why I think it could be the problem...What do you guys think though?? Helppp

Ok after reading your post i have come to the conclusion that you have a5 speed automatic transaxle (not possible for that stock vehicle) and that it's also a5 speed manual transaxle cable not linkage (due to shifter cables)

After reading your post I've come to the conclusion you need to put down the bong.
undisputed803 seems like the cables just need to be properly adjusted. If all worked well before, it should work fine again.
