Icon6 Putting an s40 back together

So my s40 has been taken out and opened up in order to replace the ISB. The disassembly has gone without incident, as well as installing the ISB. However I'm having a tough time getting the mainshaft/countershaft in with the forks in the appropriate places. Anybody have any ideas on what I overlooked? Any and all help is appreciated, thanks.

Nah we're trying to drop them in at the same time and it's a bitch. I'm not sure how to approach it..

Lay the shafts flat on the bench, set the forks on the sleeves, grab I all with both hands and it will wiggle in.

Flip the shift interlock up first.
