I'll give a solid recommendation for precision engine machine shop. They've been around for ever, and they are good people. I've used them quite a few times before. Not that it matters, but it's a family business, Jan and his son run it, Jan is about 65ish and has built every engine under the sun, he did a lot of nascar related engines back in the day, his son does most of the work on the import engines because its "his thing" he has a good bit of experience with honda engines and he builds spec miata engines for the front running guys. Jan's son's son is also getting into building engines as well. They were recommmended to me by a local race shop back in the day. The only issue I have with them is the prices, but you definitly get what you pay for and you're also paying for experience.

Here's a link to their website: http://www.precision-engine.com Give them a call. I'm sure Jan would be more than willing to answer any and all questions you might have.

Two shops that I highly don't recommend are Burtonsville Performace Machine and Marty Brown Racing and Machine. The guys at burtonsville are all a bunch of dicks. I had them assemble a short block and a rod bearing went out very shortly after the motor got running. Of course they had no interest in helping me out at all. They basically said oh well, **** you. So that was $1500 down the drain. Marty Brown is a nice enough guy, but his prices are high, and he's slow because he's more or less a one man opperation. It took him well over a month to hone a b18 block for me. Nothing more, just a hone. When I told him I was coming to get it to take it else where he said it would be done tomorrow.
