Default My new del sol

Hi everyone.

I just picked up a 94 honda del sol d15y7 about 2 weeks ago. I picked up this car for super cheap and I cannot wait till I start modding it more!

Car is lowered on tokio blue struts with I believe an ebay coilover kit (which still has another inch to drop it down ) not much has been done to it so I am starting now! Ehxaust is straight piped (holy loudness) to an ebay muffler (fake carbon fiber looking one) <-- gonna get a new system

-BEFORE-

-NEW HEADLIGHTS-
after market clear lens, black housing not a big fan of the little bumps on the corner lenses... maybe Ill get some one piece ones.

-MOTOR-
all stock

-STARTING TO PAINT-
hood, trunk and top are gonna be gloss black rest of the body will be burgundy. I'm pretty obssed with stickers so there will be a lot of those.

-INTERIOR-
my ashtray was broken when I got the car so i cut the cover of it and rigged it with duct tape so I could at least use my cigerette lighter. I think it worked out pretty well. I have del sol seats that are redone (or so everyone tells me) I will post some when I get my new phone. I also have 97 interior door panels that are one colored. Both air bags were deployed when I bought it so I removed the passenger side one and will cover it with something and I am looking into getting a 8th gen steering wheel.

More pictures to come as I start taking more! Thanks for looking!

The black top and burgundy sides will be an interesting look on a del sol.

My plans are to eventually motor swap it. I am still in between actually motor swaping or rebuild the stock d15. I think a clean original (or as original car would be sick) but if I swap I'll prolly go b series or just do a mini me. Car scoots right now even throwing oil out my exhaust

So eventually something will happen. Im focusing on paint right now since its got some rust and I live in the midwest full of salt and snow.

I went for burgundy because you dont really see that color on any car. they have burgundy stock on some civics and its a satin burgundy with a gloss hood trunk and roof so its a nice contrast.

I am working on getting some things for my other car (11 ford fiesta) because I will be in a car show in march so thats my main focus right now.

lol its called im getting a new fender and all other dents will be popped out when I get the money to have body work done. but I can careless because Ill be sticking all the money into the motor. So sorry my $800 car that I bought has dents and a busted fender and front bumper and I dont really care enough to pay someone a grand to fix it all right now. This isnt even my show car. It is what it is. Not everyone can afford to stick thousands of dollars at one time into a car. If you can thats great for you. I at least take the time and effort to do the work myself. If it takes me 2 or 3 or 10 years I dont care I at least can have the pride in telling someone I built it myself or I painted it myself vs. I bought it like that.

No one ever sees the potential in anything anymore.

I honestly don't see anything wrong with what you've done so far besides the fender and the duct tape, but you said you were replacing the fender anyways. Building a car is about having fun not about what people on the internet like. Don't worry about what people say, just have fun with it

dont replace the fender, just apply body filler "bondo", sand it smooth then paint it lol but yeah you're right, just lose the duct tape. in for updates
