93 Honda Accord EX - won't rev right?
I've got this 93 Accord EX, automatic coupe. It won't take gas right - meaning if I step on the gas (whether in gear or not) it will not rev past 2500 RPMS... it seems like there is a rev limiter on it! No CEL. I've already changed the fuel pump, tuned it up, etc. Help! Thank you!!
If your torque converter lock up clutch was stuck on all the time you would stall when you stop so i dont think it would be that. I think your car is in limp mode, jump the blue 2 pin connector under the dash on the passenger side and see if it throws a code
If the CEL is not on it probably wont flash any codes that would imply that the ECU is in limp mode. However, I would check your bulb in the gauge cluster, it's not beyond people to pull the bulb just to get rid of the light being on all the time.
When you turn your key to the II position does the CEL flash for 2 seconds and then go out? If not you bulb is burnt out or someone disconnected the MIL wire from the gauge cluster/ECU.
