2003 6-Speed Transmission diagram
Hello everyone! I have what I hope is a quick request. Does anyone have or know how I could get my hands on a exploded diagram of the transmission in a 2003 6-speed? Long story short... opened the bell housing when I didn't need to, and washers and bearings came out to my surprise. I need to close the transmission back up and needed to ensure all was put back in the correct place. Thank you for any help in advance.

You need a factory service manual (FSM), specifically, the V6 supplement. You can find it online @ helm-inc. As long as you didn't replace any parts, you shouldn't have to worry about bearing preloads or shaft backlash.
What was your reason for opening the tranny?

Thank you for the response! I am going to go find one right now I hope.

My car started lagging while trying to accelerate. For example I would normally be at 2k RPM at 60 MPH in 6th gear. When I would hit the gas the RPM would normally climb gradually with the increased speed.... normal right? Lately it started acting as if its revving the engine instead of accelerating. I would accelerate, just not at the right speed. When i release the gas the Tach returned to where is normal for the speed and gear settings. So I stopped driving the car until I could get a look at the clutch or get a general idea of what was going on.
Well I drove the car one more time, and only one more time. As I was trying to pull out of the grocery store the car couldnt even move in first. I could put the car into gear, into any gear, while at a standstill with the engine running without touching the clutch. So, we towed it to a shop, and after a hassle of removing the subframe we accidently opened the transmission instead of just removing the clutch. I know, we are some amazing mechanics. So I took the bell housing off in order to take a look at the transmission since we already cracked it open and had some bearing fall out. All gears look good, no wear marks that I can see. Now I just want to close the transmission back up with confidence that everything it put right.
I'm sure everyone is wondering how we could make the mistake of removing the bell housing instead of the whole transmission. Well... combination of lack of experiance, bad advice, and vague instructions all came together at the right time. I plan on replacing my clutch set, most likely the flywheel, and thats about it. The clutch fingers had excessive wear marks on them and the pressure plate was worn down, so hoping that fixes my car.
Thank you again for your help!

Would this link seem correct? I couldn''t find anything specifically saying Factory Service Manual and the V6 Supplement was the only option that came up after the search.

The 03-06 V6 supplement looks to be cheaper: http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2...A09&itemtype=N
There might be an electronic/pdf version floating around somewhere. You can also try finding a used copy on ebay.
