Revo short-throw shifter failure
The previous owner of my car had installed a Revo shifter at some point. I don't know how old it is, or for how many miles it was used, but regardless of that, it has failed in an unacceptable manner. As you can see from the picture, the bracket holding the shift cable to the lever has snapped right off, because it was clearly welded on by apes. So, if you're planning to install a short-throw shifter, don't buy a Revo.
common occurrence with aftermarket shift boxes. the best options are replacement shift levers using the stock box (jtc, p-spec) or a full replacement (k-tuned, hybrid racing).
