Default Vinyl Wrapping my 06 E

I've had a full roll of matte black 3m 1080 vinyl wrap that I was going to originally wrap my 95 civic Si in. I decided to get my EG painted and will now use the wrap on my daily driver E.

Here's a few hours from today. I'm hoping to have the entire thing done by next weekend.

I'll be getting JDM H's and new wheels (18's) to finish the look. Stock suspension for the time being.

I'll keep updating this thread with progress pics.

Thanks!

It's VERY time intensive. The 3m film makes it easier than most other products for sure.

Yup, heat gun, felt squeegees and a heat resistant glove to help contour. (and of course an exacto knife)

its looking good, youre on the home stretch. I liked the fb page. I have a 5 year old daughter and idk what id do if that happened to me. its truely disgusting that anyone, never mind a child and their parents would have to deal with that. I have a lot of cancer related deaths in my family and in my circle of friends. I hope nothing but the best for them.

Thanks man!

I've known his parents for about 18yrs. As a father of 2 girls, I was heartbroken when I found out. Took a half day at work and picked them up early from school so we could all hang out and I could just hug them.

Thanks for the support!

Finished the sides. I just need to do the door handles and roof.

I want to add this, anyone who does this for a living...kudos to you. This is a TON of freaking work and the skill and attention to detail needed are incredible. I'm OCD and I couldn't get the corners right.

Overall, this looks great from 10'....close up, I have issues with various panels during my learning process. The front bumper/headlight area being the worst IMO.

I'll be tackling the door handles during the week sometime.

so i was wondering i might be buying an old project truck too haul stuff and play around with and i live in canada so we are all parcially red necks if the fenders are rusted and i just grind the rust off throw bondo on it and a quick paint job would it look bad if i did a camo 2 tone vinyl like do just around the fenders and a foot up the doors ? like if the body work isnt perfect would it be very noticeble in the wrap or would it be different with print on it ?

First, this has to be applied to a clean, painted surface. Any imperfection in the body/surface would DEFINITELY come through.

You can see the small dent below my back window in this pic:

However, if you have a pattern..it might be harder to see. But 3m doesn't have a preprinted camo pattern so make sure w/e you're looking at is printed on auto vinyl AND has a UV laminate on it.
