92 civic b20 showing 20 ecu code
ok so first off i have a 92 civic with a stock 97 b20 w/ all ur bolt ons. 2.5 in custom exaust and a 66 mm skunk2 throttle body with a blox tps. i also have a clifford alarm system that has recently been messing up. the blackjax doesnt wrk anymore. i was wondering if anyone has heard of the alarm causeing the 20 ecu code. and im running a obd1 ecu with all the proper splices, but there is some confusion as to what distributor i have. could that be part of the problem as well?
this is my dd and im really trying to figure out what it is without spending more unnecessary money. any and all help is welcomed.
thanks ahead of time
edit.. reason im asking is because the cars sputtering and idling low and wants to turn off at times. even in high rpms it like spits to where the car jerks and smells like it leans or richs out.

I've had quite a few cars come in with botched alarm jobs throwing ELD, it can most definitely affect your engine performance. You need to unplug the alarm box, override the starter cutoff relay, and troubleshoot one thing at a time.
However, most people who install a new TPS sensor don't install it right, and there's more of a chance that's your main problem. Also, installing a new intake manifold can result in coolant bubbles and/or vacuum leaks, swapped IACV/IAT plugs, swapped TPS and MAP plugs, all of which I see constantly.
Do step 1 first, if the problem continues, reinstall the TPS to spec or have someone with TPS knowledge do it for you. Then get back to us if needed.

ok so tps was installed correctly and i checked the other plugs and they were in the correct place. im not sure if the place rechecked the wiring of the alarm system. i hate wiring and dont know the cliford skematics, and really dont have time to mess around with it like that being my dd. also when it idles low all my lights wanna turn off or loose voltage? im stumped. if you know anyone with a clifford wiring skematics ill be more than happy to give it a shot to see if it fixs this problem and gets her running right.
note... noticed i was spitting something (gas i think, have a rich black spot over the rear bumper). could it be the ecu?

you're on your own there bro. any shop should be able to diagnose it within an hour, if you don't have time to do it yourself that's your most logical option.
well took it to a shop and let them take a look at it and they told me they wouldnt touch it without the proper wireharness for the car. apparently i have a ls wire harness thts been sniped to wrk for a civic. so so be it im going to get the harness and re run everything, but does anyone think it has something to do with my distributor. my dads being a pest about it being the dizzy.. any and all help is welcomed.
ELD regulates the output of the altenator based on electric load on the system. It has nothing to do with the distributor at all.
If you have a hacked up harness fix that first.
