Default Mods on a stock 98 GSR

I just bought a '98 GSR... Great milage, super sonic blue... its hot... My brother has a GSR too, and I'm getting all kinds of mixed advice. I don't want too loud of an exhaust, and I don't want to change the exterior of the car. Any ideas on what kinds of mods to make?

Just figure out how you want your car to be like. If you don't to load of an exhast then Tenabe Hyper Medallion, Apexi WS, Mugen Twin Loop are some exhaust that are not too load and obnoxious.

Just don't buy cheap brands and get the good stuff and save in the long run.

I agree all of the above listed are good choices. Do you plan on staying all motor or going FI?

If you are going to upgrade your suspension with reputable components. Search around and ask for opinions.

With I/H/C/E you will not see very noticable gains unless you go FI. Is this going to be a daily driver? I think you should mod your car depending on your lifesyle. Like if it's going to be a daily driver or if you are going to squeeze out all the juice you can get IMO.

First thing to do is get an alarm, club, and auto lock.

Then get the comptech ice box, a JDM 2.5" headers, high flow cat, and Apex World sport exhaust (very quiet).

I bought it with 34k miles on it for 12.... It was a steal. I'm really lucky. I was on Auto Trader screwin around lookin for GSRs and I found one that was only 120 miles away, and what do ya know- its in SSPB, my dream car. I was in Miami the next day puttin a down payment on her.

Nice ride.. Congrats. GET AN ALARAM, and kill switches.. After that whatever you feel like getting. My .02 though, you get what you pay for so try to get stuff from good or known companies. Worth the extra money. Other than that just enjoy the car.

Congrad's on the car, integra GS-R's are teh best!

I have to agree.... Get the best alarm in the market as your first mode. Then work on suspension.

if you have a fair amount of money, i'd get:
AEM CAI
Comptech TIG 4-2-1 header
GReddy SP exhaust
koni yellows
ground controls
potenzas
I agree with most of that however, I like this setup better
-Comptech Ice Box CAI
-Comptech 4-2-1 TIG Header or Hytech or SMSP
-Comptech cat back exhaust, you'll love the nice deep tone.
-JDM ITR rear sway bar with the BSQ kit
-Ground Controls
-Koni's
-pole position s-03
-upgrade both front and rear strut tower bars with benen, spoon, mugen...

That's of good start.

Check this link for a good intake/header/exhaust, a.k.a. I/H/E
