Sputters and Bogs Down at Accelrating
The Problem:
The car will idle at ~900 rpm. I can accelerate in neutral but sputters a bit. I put it in first, let out the clutch, give some acceleration and just starts to sputter and bog down.
Random part is, if I put it in first, slowly let the clutch out without accelerating, it will start building speed slowly. However I can not accelerate otherwise it will sputter and bog down.
Things I have checked:
-Throttle Positioning Sensor reading good voltage at closed/open throttle.
-Manifold Absolute Pressure reading good voltage at low/high vacuum.
-Compression is good at all four cylinders.
-Brand new spark plugs properly gaped.
-Brand new spark plug cables.
Additional Information:
-1993 Honda Civic Hatch CX
-Swap the D15B8 to D16Y7
-Kept OBD1 harness and used D15B8 distributor, injectors, oxygen sensor, and ECU (P05)
-Running a D16Y8 Intake Manifold

Check your timing. Also, you should probably look up the specs on the injectors you're using - they might not be flowing enough fuel to keep the Y7 fed.
It sounds like a timing issue to me. They will do things like this when they are a tooth out of time. Check your timing to make sure it didn't jump.
Thank you guys. I will check that. Oh and the D15B8 and D16Y7 are both 180cc injectors, 2 pin, but differ outline so OBD1 harness plastic clip won't plug in to D16Y7 in injectors.
This is my first rebuild so I could have skipped a tooth. However if I did, wouldn't that cause the valves to clash with the pistons? I made sure to do a few manual rotations to make sure they weren't touching.
