alright so i finnaly bought a welder and its a 220v everlast tig welder and the website says that it will need a 7000 watt clean power source in order to run efficiently
i didnt want to buy the 110/220 v tig welder and be stuck at 100 amp for now, till i move.
do i really need a 7000 watt constant generator or would a 4000 watt generator be sufficient

No 4000 wt would be greatly under powered. And as far as a generator goes. 7000 wt is a bare desperate minimum i would go. Generators do not run at a consistent enough power to hold a steady 7000 wt especially when you start welding. The higher the watts the safer you are when out comes to welding. If you were running like lets say lights. They draw an even amount of power whereas a welder draws a fluctuating power draw.
